Frequently asked questions

How does the live Vastu compass work?

On mobile, the page reads your device's built-in compass (magnetometer) to detect the exact direction and degree you are facing, and instantly shows classical Vastu guidance for that zone - do's and don'ts, colors, crystals, plants, yantras and Lal Kitab prescriptions. On desktop, or if sensor access is declined, you can rotate the dial manually.

Does the Vastu compass need my location?

No. Direction comes from your phone's motion and magnetic sensors, not GPS. On iPhone the browser asks once for motion-and-orientation access; nothing is uploaded - all guidance is computed on your device.

What is the 32-pada door reading on the compass?

Classical Dwar Vastu divides the perimeter into 32 padas (8 per wall), each ruled by a deity. Stand at the centre of your home, face your main door, and the compass shows which pada the door occupies - with its effect and door-level remedies.

Directions use magnetic north; across India the difference from true north is under ~2° - well inside each 45° Vastu zone. Door padas are finer (11.25°), so borderline pada readings are flagged on the card and should be confirmed by wall measurement.
